Connor Playing at Home & Fun Outside the Home: Jan 10-18

We have a lot of fun staying in and playing with Connor - especially since Christian is on winter holiday from teaching. (Grade submitted Jan 14!)

Hello! Jan 18

Connor is very enthusiastic about reading! Jan 18

Fun on the town...

To celebrate the official end of the term we visited Pizza Hut!
A date with pizza - a rare treat! Jan 14
On the 15th Connor had to get another immunization shot and afterward we stopped into Coffee Time - a Chinese local-to-the-province-of-Anhui coffee house chain.
Being silly with Connor's teether. Jan 15
As you can see in the photos above, Kim finally got her bangs cut!

Zheshan Park

About two blocks from our apartment there is a park called Zheshan that we had been meaning to visit for a very long time. Finally, we got the chance on January 14th.
Near the entrance of the park there are statues of each of the animals in the Chinese calender. We each posed with the animal which represents our year of birth.
Connor with his animal, the mighty dragon!
(He fell asleep right before these photos were taken.)

Kim with the rooster!
Christian with the sheep!
We didn't stay in the park long that day because the weather wasn't great for it, but we did see a couple other cool sites.
A Communist statue in the park.
A bad translation... This sign makes me think
of the word fire with the meaning "to let someone go"
and it makes me think a lot about the economy.
Times sure are tough if you have to fire a million trees.

A Couple Misc. Pictures
