Some Lazy Days at Home: Feb 14 - Feb 22

To bring us up to speed, Christian is still on vacation for Winter Break and it's cold outside. Word on the street is that this was Wuhu's coldest winter in ten years. We were lucky to be here in time to experience it.
This post begins on Valentine's Day but it's not about Valentine's day since we don't usually celebrate Valentine's Day. Just to prove it here is one of the only photos taken on that day...

Christian plays a video game. Happy Valentine's Day! Feb 14
Connor tried on Dad's hat. Feb 15

While we did play some video games, we mostly played with Connor. He's always been a playful and happy baby but at this point he started to become super active and playful. It helped, we think, to have both of us at home throughout the day.

The weather also helped keep us together. It got super cold... which wasn't terrible only because we also got a really beautiful snowfall.

Our campus from our apartment window with a fresh "dumping" of snow. Feb 19
So, we spent a ton of time playing with Connor and he spent a ton of time playing with us!

his head now-a-days. Feb 19
Connor playing on his mat. Feb 19
You can see Connor is physically doing pretty well. He can support himself while lifting his head up and he's doing a better job of sitting up, though he still needs some support to stay up and needs someone else to put him in the sitting position. Also, he no longer cries during tummy time unless he loses control and bonks his face on the mat.

Here, Connor plays with his shape sorting toy. He loves to eat the shapes!  Feb 19

Connor gives his friendly robot toy a piggy back ride. Feb 22
A couple of nice shots of Connor with his mom (Feb 19) and Connor with his dad (Feb 22).

Connor gets his sock off and in his mouth again! Feb 22

Connor really loves when we help him stand. He's super motivated lately to get moving on his own. Standing on his own and pulling himself up is a long ways off for him but he loves being able to practice with our help.

We did go out once during these ten days of terrible weather (aside from grocery trips of course...) to celebrate Kim's birthday!

Finally, two miscellaneous food pix to share...
Kung Pao Chicken (Gong bao ji ding) made by Christian.
Some Gangnam style Bugles. It seems like there is Gangnam everything here...
