2-3 weeks and 3 days old... (Sept 19 - Sept 30)

After our first week at home with Connor things got a little less hectic as we honed our parenting skills...

Here's Connor all cute and alert swaddled in his lovely green blanket. (9/19)
Bathtime! Here we're giving Connor the "classic" newborn bath in the kitchen sink - which is a bit more complicated when your sink doesn't have hot water...

Christian holds Connor for the bath
and for the photo pose! (9/20)
Just in case you missed Connor's freaked out
expression in that last photo, here is a
close-up!
On Connor's tummy you can see a sticker bandage, given to us by the hospital, that's covering his belly button. It's there to protect him because at that time, Connor still had a piece of his umbilical cord which you're not supposed to get wet.

Tummy time! Christian and I learned about this cool baby activity called "tummy time"! Christian especially likes doing tummy time because it is a fun way to spend time with Connor.

(9/26)
Tummy time is a lot of fun, but Connor's favorite activity these days (aside from eating, of course!) is sleeping!
I love watching Connor sleep. He is so peaceful. (9/30)
Connor snoozing in the afternoon (9/26)

Connor and Christian in a fit of exhaustion. (9/23)

Connor swaddled and covered up in a lovely
afghan made by his Aunt Marian. (9/30)

Connor conked out while showing his support for the Lanisters! (9/30)

In many of these sleeping photos you can see how bad Connor's baby acne got. Don't be alarmed by it... it looks bad, but it's cleared up!
Another cute feet shot! (9/30)

  1. What a great and detailed chronicle; Connor will appreciate this later, and so will you, long after you've forgotten all the small things that made you happy during these early times. These posts also help make up for the fact that we can't just drop in or even take a long drive to see all of you. Looking forward to more updates!
