Connor checks out the birdhouse which is aptly
labeled "house". April 18 |
Last post left off with first photographic documentation of Connor crawling and this post begins with more of Connor's crawlsomeness.
Connor's new crawling skills led to more chances for our curious little guy to get around and explore. Of course it also meant our job taking care of Connor got a lot harder.

Below is a small series of Connor "escaping" his room. April 30
Wanna see Connor crawl "for real"?
Make to it a flip book! Print these four, cut them out. Staple once in the middle of the left hand side... Viola!
Besides crawling, Connor's newest discovery is his tongue which he's started constantly sticking out! It's led to some adorable and hilarious photos and sounds.

Connor's new-found interest in his tongue doesn't mean he's given up his former interest... BUSHES! Which are great because they are green, different every time and at baby's height.

Connor loves the way the bushes feel and move under his hand.
You can see in the photo on the left that Connor's hair is still coming in. Also, at this point we should tell you that we always put a hat on Connor and he ALWAYS takes it off. We put it on, he takes it off... no matter how sunny.

Christian multitasking... Wait, so if it's a photo of Christian brushing
his teeth while holding Connor that means Kim is just taking a photo?

Below is a photo of some ducks and chicken that live up the hill near our apartment (on campus). This photo commemorates the first time Connor saw chickens and ducks. He saw them and propped up in his stroller to get a better look. We didn't get anywhere close to them but we did watch them for a couple minutes. These birds are the first poultry we've seen in about a month since everything has been cleared out of the markets due to the bird flu (H7N9). We're hoping the threat ends soon... we miss eating chicken and are really getting bored of eating beef, pork and vegetable based dishes!

On April 25th, Connor started pulling himself up starting in his crib. Here he is showing off his new talent.
 |
| "That's amazing!" |
In other news, to deal with the warmer weather and help Connor out with some teething pain, Kim had an awesome idea to make frozen banana pops for him. So she pureed some bananas and mixed them with yogurt (
http://wholesomebabyfood.momtastic.com/bananayogurtprintable.html) and set them to freeze in a nifty alphabet letter popsicle maker we found online. April 27
 |
| Here are the pops getting ready to freeze. |
 |
| When they were finally ready, Connor was super excited about trying them! |
 |
| Christian is very interested to know if baby Connor likes them. |
 |
| Connor tastes the pop... |
 |
| and really hates it! This is about 2 minutes before it ended up smashed on the floor... |
Oh well! Maybe he'll like other flavors and maybe we can try banana again in a couple of months...
Finally, this post will wrap up with not one, but two photo comics...
The first one is called "Connor gets a photo call from a crescent roll" April 25
 |
| "Hello?" |
 |
| "Oh you'd like to talk to Connor. Hold on just a moment, he's right here" |
 |
| "Connor, it's for you." |
 |
| *Connor wonders "how do I explain to him that it's just bread?"* |
Second comic is called "This isn't fun anymore!" April 24 (Photos taken within moments of each other...)
 |
| Oh, I have a great idea! Let's play the beat on the table game! |
 |
| WOAH! SO MUCH FUN! |
 |
| WAAA! THIS ISN'T FUN ANYMORE!! ! ! ! |
That was a great post! So many fun pics and moments so well captured. The frozen banana pops are a favorite. Why shouldn't Connor like them, they sound great to me! You probably left out the main ingredient...SUGAR! I also liked the one of Connor seeing Daddy through the window; he's like, OMG! Good update!
ReplyDeleteHaha, yes! The day he looked through the window so many people walked by or stopped and laughed. It was really hilarious! And inside the shop you could hear him no matter where you were saying "Ooooh! OOOHH!" over and over with excitement. :)
